  • Condition: This finder is in good working condition with a clear, contrasty image through it. There is minor cosmetic wear to the finder itself, and more moderate wear to the leather case. Please see photos and complete description below for additional condition notes.

    Description

    Up for sale is a used Nippon Kogaku Nikon rangefinder Variframe variable finder for use with lenses from 35mm to 135mm.  The finder has serial #902375 and is marked "Made In Occupied Japan" on the bottom; it comes with its original leather case.  The image through the finder is clear and contrasty, even in lower level indoor light.  The focal length dial turns smoothly, but is on the stiffer side, with markings for 3.5cm, 5cm, 7.3cm, 8.5cm, 9cm, 10.5cm and 13.5cm (I don't think Nikon ever made a 73mm or 90mm RF lens, so my assumption is that they were trying to attract Leica shooters).  Cosmetically, there is minor cosmetic wear from previous use, but more moderate wear to the leather case.  Please be sure to fully enlarge the provided photos, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
